Road Safety Slogans and Wall Paintings to Be Installed at Bihar Schools to Raise Awareness
Patna: In an effort to raise awareness about road safety, the Bihar Transport Department has decided to install road safety slogans and wall paintings on the boundary walls of all schools. The initiative, aimed at sensitizing school children and their families to road safety measures, was approved in a recent meeting of the Executive Committee of the Bihar Road Safety Council, chaired by the Development Commissioner.
Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal emphasized that the project seeks to educate children, the future of the nation, about road safety from a young age. The idea is to create awareness not only among students but also within their families, encouraging them to follow traffic rules.
The slogans and paintings will be simple, impactful, and inspirational. They will focus on key road safety messages, including the importance of wearing helmets, using seat belts, adhering to speed limits, avoiding mobile phone use while driving, and respecting pedestrians’ rights.
The initiative will be executed by the Transport Department in collaboration with the Education Department. A special monitoring committee will be set up to ensure that the project is completed efficiently and within the scheduled time frame.
