Senior Officials Review Key Road & Bridge Projects, Emphasize Timely Completion

Patna: Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary of the Road Construction Department Mihir Kumar Singh, Secretary B Karthikeya Dhanji, and Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Shirsat Kapil Ashok, conducted an in-depth review of several ongoing infrastructure projects by the corporation. The visit was accompanied by Chief General Manager Praveen Chandra Gupta, General Manager, and Deputy General Managers of the respective projects.
The officials first examined the Mithapur-Mahuli project, where Mihir Kumar Singh urged that the work be expedited to benefit the public. He assured the team that any obstacles in the project should be reported to him directly for swift resolution.
Later, the team inspected the under-construction bridge over the Ganga River, connecting Kachchi Dargah to Bidupur. Mihir Kumar Singh closely observed the efforts of the construction agency and reviewed the down ramp connecting Bidupur to Patna. Following the site inspection, a presentation was made to him, during which he directed that efforts be intensified. This ambitious six-lane cable-stayed bridge is being built by Daewoo and L&T.
The review continued with the bridge under construction from Bakhtiyarpur to Tajpur, where Singh emphasized meeting the stipulated deadlines. During this review, he also discussed the Railway Over Bridge (ROB) construction in the project, instructing officials to liaise with railway authorities to secure necessary approvals.
Finally, Singh visited the Ganga Path project and instructed that the remaining work be completed promptly. He concluded the visit by emphasizing the critical role of road projects in the state’s development and directed officials to proactively address challenges faced by construction agencies to ensure uninterrupted progress.
