Shelter Home Superintendent in Nawada Dies by Suicide During a Video Call with Husband

Nawada: Priyanka Kumari, superintendent of Nawada Balika Griha, ended her life by hanging herself from a fan in her government residence while on a video call with her husband. The incident took place in Budhaul under Nawada Nagar police station. Upon receiving the information, the District Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, and other officials reached the scene. The reason behind the suicide has not been disclosed.
Priyanka Kumari, a resident of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, was posted at the girls’ shelter home in Nawada. Her sudden death has caused a stir in the district administration. A suicide note was found in her room, but the police have not revealed its contents. DSP Hulas Kumar stated that no one has been held responsible in the note. Priyanka’s husband, who was on a video call with her at the time, immediately informed the administration after witnessing the incident.
The police are investigating the matter from all possible angles. A forensic team was called to collect evidence and examine the scene. Officials are working to determine the circumstances that led to her death.
After the initial investigation, the police sent the body for post-mortem. Authorities continue their probe, ensuring a thorough investigation into the reasons behind the tragedy.
