Shravani Mela 2025: 15 Trains to Get Temporary Stoppages at Key Stations in Danapur Division

Patna: In a move aimed at easing travel for devotees during the upcoming Shravani Mela, the Danapur Division of the East Central Railway has announced temporary stoppages for 15 trains at eight key stations between July 11 and August 10, 2025.
Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra confirmed that the temporary halts are being introduced to manage the increased passenger flow during the month-long religious event.
Temporary Stoppages at 8 Stations
The temporary halts will be implemented at the following stations:
- Mankatha
- Khusrupur
- Teka Bigha
- Hardas Bigha
- Manjhauli Gram Halt
- Budhdevchak Yadav Nagar
- Mekra Memrakhabad Halt
- Shukradasgram Halt
These stations lie on key pilgrimage routes and are expected to serve thousands of local and long-distance travelers attending the Shravani festivities.
Intercity Express Trains to Get New Stops
Two major Intercity Express trains will get additional halts:
- Sahibganj-Danapur Intercity Express (13235) will stop at Mankatha at 7:59 PM.
- Danapur-Sahibganj Intercity Express (13236) will halt at Mankatha at 8:08 AM.
Likewise:
- Bhagalpur-Danapur Intercity Express (13401) will stop at Khusrupur at 9:47 AM and Hardas Bigha at 9:52 AM.
- Danapur-Bhagalpur Intercity Express (13402) will stop at Hardas Bigha at 5:21 PM and Khusrupur at 5:26 PM.
MEMU and Passenger Trains to Benefit Local Commuters
Several MEMU and passenger trains will now briefly halt at smaller stations, greatly benefiting local travelers:
- Manjhauli Gram Halt:
- Deoghar-Patna MEMU (63209) at 12:04 PM
- Patna-Jhajha MEMU (63212) at 3:41 PM
- Budhdevchak Yadav Nagar:
- Tilaiya-Danapur Passenger (53231) at 10:22 PM
- Kiul-Patna MEMU (63205) at 4:29 AM
- Patna-Mokama Passenger (53228) at 5:45 AM
Additional service support will also be available at Teka Bigha and Mekra Memrakhabad Halt, as per the railway authorities.
Crowd Management and Devotee Convenience
Railway officials stated that these special stoppages are intended to both ease congestion on main routes and provide direct access to smaller stations during the Shravani Mela. The adjustments are expected to significantly improve travel convenience for pilgrims heading to Deoghar and other religious destinations in the region.
