Silent Demonstration at Patna Women’s College Condemns Kolkata Rape Incident
Patna: In a show of solidarity with the victim of a recent rape incident in Kolkata, Patna Women’s College (PWC) organized a silent protest on Saturday. The event saw active participation from students, faculty members, and administrative staff, including the college’s Principal and Vice-Principal.
Participants formed a human chain, holding placards that decried rape and sexual violence. The silent protest, which lasted for approximately 30 minutes, was a powerful statement against such heinous crimes, emphasizing the importance of standing united against inhuman acts.
The WePWC Gender Cell, the college’s gender sensitization unit, coordinated the protest. The college administration reiterated its commitment to the safety and dignity of women, expressing continued support for the victims of sexual violence.
