Softball Training Camp for National Championship to Begin in Patna from January 8

Patna: The Softball Association of Bihar has announced a training camp for the state’s potential team participating in the 46th Senior National Women and Men Softball Championship in Nagpur. The camp will be held in Patna from January 8 under the supervision of Rupak Kumar, Joint Secretary of the association. The final team selection will be made after the camp concludes.

Gautam Kanodia, President of the association, stated that a list of 47 shortlisted players was finalized after a two-day selection process. The camp will run daily from 10 am to 1 pm, with the team receiving training from coaches Vipin Kumar and Rajesh Kumar. A four-member selection committee comprising Randhir Kumar, Saurabh Raj, Aditya Kumar, and Anees Kumar will oversee the process.

In the men’s category, selected players include Sanjeet Kumar (Patna), Vishnu Ranjan (Vaishali), Mohammad Kashif (Muzaffarpur), Harsh Kumar (Samastipur), and others from various districts such as Saran, Nalanda, and Patna.

For the women’s category, players like Arohi Raj (Patna), Varsha Sagar (Patna), Rupa Kumari (Muzaffarpur), Deepa Kumari (Muzaffarpur), and others from Patna, Saran, and Muzaffarpur have been shortlisted. The final squad will aim to represent Bihar at the championship with the best talent from the state.
