Speeding Car Crashes Into Mango Cart in Bhagalpur, Injures Girl and Causes Rs 30,000 Loss

A car moving at 80 kmph lost control and rammed into a mango cart in Bhagalpur’s Navgachiya, injuring a young girl and causing damages worth over Rs 30,000.

Bhagalpur: A car travelling at a high speed lost control and crashed into a mango cart on National Highway 31 near Chakrami village in Bhagalpur’s Navgachiya area on Wednesday morning. The incident left a young woman, identified as Reshma Khatoon alias Dilshana, injured. She was admitted to the sub-divisional hospital for treatment.

According to eyewitnesses, the car was coming from Khagaria at a speed of around 80 kmph when it veered off the road, collided with the cart stationed on the footpath, and plunged into a ditch nearly 5 feet deep. The impact completely damaged the vehicle and scattered mangoes across a stretch of about 50 metres.

Reshma’s father, Ashraf Ali, stated in a complaint to the police that he had gone to the orchard to collect more mangoes after setting up the cart in the morning. During that time, the speeding vehicle struck the cart, leaving behind damages estimated at more than Rs 30,000.

Police have launched an investigation and seized the car involved in the accident.
