SSC Exam Candidates Protest Over Irregularities, Demand Re-Examination

Muzaffarpur: Chaos erupted during the SSC CGL Tier-2 mains exam at an examination center in the Kachhi Pakki area of Muzaffarpur. Candidates alleged several irregularities, including late entry, missing rough papers, and a leaked question paper. The examination, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM, saw some candidates entering as late as 9:30 AM. While those who began at 9:00 AM faced distractions from the late entries, others students claimed their exam started as late as 10:00 AM.

A Candidate alleged that rough papers, essential for the reasoning section, were not provided at the center. Many students complained about the mismanagement, stating that their exam was not conducted properly. “The paper was leaked, and our future is being played with,” one candidate said. Following the exam, students raised slogans outside the center, demanding its cancellation and a re-examination.

Authorities, including the Sadar police and SDPO-2, were called to pacify the protesting students. Despite efforts by the center management to resolve the situation, students refused to back down until their demands were addressed. The typing exam, scheduled for the afternoon, was delayed but eventually commenced at 3:00 PM after intervention from the officials.

SDM East Amit Kumar acknowledged the grievances of the students and assured them that the issues would be reported to the board. The management attributed the delays to technical issues at the center. The students, however, remain firm in their demand for a re-examination, stating that the irregularities have jeopardized their future.

Attempts to reach the center operator for comments were unsuccessful. The board is yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
