Muzaffarpur: A student was brutally beaten up for preventing cheating during the matriculation examination in Muzaffarpur. A viral video of the assault, which took place at Ramdayalu Singh College, shows a group of students attacking their peer with belts, slaps, kicks, and punches.

The 15-second clip captures the harrowing attack, during which the student was slapped 30 times and hit with a belt six times. The video, now widely circulated on social media, has raised serious concerns over the safety of students and the integrity of examinations. The location of the assault is mentioned in the video, along with the phrase “last exam,” though official matriculation exams are scheduled until February 25.

Student Attacked After Refusing to Help in Cheating

According to sources, the incident occurred when the victim refused to allow another student to copy from his answer sheet inside the exam hall. Enraged, the accused students allegedly threatened him, warning that he would be dealt with outside the exam hall. After the examination concluded, a group of students cornered the victim and launched a brutal assault, which was recorded and uploaded online.

Police Investigating, Identifying Accused

Speaking on the matter, the Kazi Mohammadpur police station in-charge confirmed that an investigation is underway. “We are in the process of identifying the boys involved in the assault. Strict legal action will be taken against the culprits,” the official stated.
