Tejashwi Takes Aim at PM Modi in Banka Rally: Questions Nitish’s Allegiance
Banka: Banka witnessed a fervent election rally on Monday as Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav took to the stage at Balliamhara ground in Banka parliamentary constituency, delivering a scathing critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Taking aim at the BJP and JD (U) leadership, Tejashwi questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertions of guarantee, challenging whether Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would backtrack once more. Amidst the electoral fervor, he outlined ambitious plans, asserting that a coalition government led by his party would create one crore jobs by August 15 and provide financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to poor mothers and sisters on Rakshabandhan.
Tejashwi highlighted the plight of unemployment in Bihar, vowing to address the issue by creating 70 lakh new posts and granting special state status to Bihar if his party comes to power. He lamented the missed opportunities during the Grand Alliance government’s tenure, attributing setbacks to Nitish’s abrupt departure from the coalition.
The rally, attended by enthusiastic supporters chanting slogans in favor of Tejashwi and RJD candidate Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav, underscored the fervor surrounding the opposition’s campaign. Tejashwi urged voters to rally behind Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav, emphasizing the need to prioritize the interests of the state.
Addressing the broader challenges facing the nation, Tejashwi criticized the BJP government for allegedly neglecting issues of unemployment, inflation, education, and poverty. He accused the ruling party of deflecting attention from substantive issues by focusing on peripheral matters.
In a bid to contrast RJD’s vision with BJP’s policies, Tejashwi cited the party’s manifesto, which promises martyr status for paramilitary personnel, free electricity, construction of new airports, and improvements in health, education, and farmer welfare.
