Tejashwi Yadav to Embark on Bihar Tour to Highlight Achievements of 17-Month Tenure
Patna: Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is set to embark on a comprehensive tour of Bihar starting February 20, aiming to inform the public about the accomplishments during his 17-month tenure. This decision emerged from a party meeting convened on Thursday.
Under the chairmanship of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad, a crucial meeting was held at Tejashwi’s residence, attended by party officials including MLAs and district presidents. The gathering entrusted leaders and workers with the task of communicating RJD’s achievements during its tenure to the populace while also initiating preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Tejashwi reiterated the commitment made during the 2020 elections to provide jobs and employment opportunities to 10 lakh youths if the Grand Alliance government assumed power. Highlighting their progress in this direction, Tejashwi emphasized that the government had already facilitated jobs and employment for five lakh individuals, underscoring the party’s dedication to fulfilling promises made to the electorate.
Addressing the challenges faced by the government, Tejashwi denounced efforts by divisive forces aiming to disrupt the progress by inciting hatred. He urged party members to actively engage with the public and counteract such conspiracies, emphasizing the government’s focus on job creation and employment generation.
Moreover, Tejashwi highlighted the RJD’s efforts in promoting social justice and inclusive policies, citing initiatives such as conducting caste census and implementing a 75% reservation system akin to Tamil Nadu. He stressed the importance of embracing marginalized communities and advocating for their rights, pledging to continue the legacy of former leader Lalu Prasad Ji’s vision for the welfare of the underprivileged.
In his directives to district presidents, Tejashwi emphasized the need to bolster the party’s organizational structure at the grassroots level. He urged them to adhere to guidelines provided by the party leadership and work towards strengthening the organization at the village and booth levels.
The tour aims not only to showcase the achievements of the RJD-led government but also to galvanize party workers and supporters ahead of the upcoming electoral challenges, reaffirming the party’s commitment to the welfare of the people of Bihar.
