Three-Day Capacity-Building Programme on Strategic Planning Begins at CIMP
Patna: A three-day capacity-building programme on Strategic Planning and Process commenced today at the Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) campus. Organized by the Planning and Development Department of the Bihar government in collaboration with CIMP, the residential programme aims to equip officials with advanced tools for effective planning and execution. This initiative forms part of the State Support Mission of NITI Aayog, which seeks to enhance decision-making processes and drive development in Bihar.
The programme brings together 30 officials, including District Planning Officers, Regional Planning Officers, Assistant Directors, Senior Research Officers, and Assistant Planning Officers. Their participation highlights the importance of capacity-building in strengthening governance and improving development outcomes across the state.
The inaugural session featured key dignitaries, including CIMP Director Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Chief Administrative Officer Kumod Kumar, and faculty members Prof. Ankit Sharma and Prof. Rishabh Rajan. The ceremony began with the symbolic lighting of the lamp, representing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
In his welcome address, Prof. Rana Singh emphasized the significance of strategic planning in achieving Bihar’s developmental goals and reiterated CIMP’s role as the Lead Knowledge Institute (LKI) under the State Support Mission of NITI Aayog.
The programme’s curriculum focuses on essential areas such as SWOT analysis, vision setting, implementation strategies, and performance reviews. Designed for interaction and practical learning, it aims to provide participants with actionable insights to improve their professional roles.
The event will conclude on December 28 with a feedback session and the distribution of certificates to participants.
