Three Senior IPS Officers Transferred in Bihar; Nayyar Hasnain Khan Returns to EOU, Amit Lodha Gets New Posting

Patna: The Bihar government has reassigned key positions to three senior IPS officers, including two Additional Director General (ADG)-rank officers who were awaiting posting after returning from central deputation. The Home Department (Police Branch) issued a notification detailing the new appointments.

Paresh Saxena, a 1994-batch IPS officer who recently returned from central deputation, has been appointed as Additional Commissioner-cum-ADG of Civil Security, Bihar. Meanwhile, Nayyar Hasnain Khan, a 1996-batch officer and former Inspector General (IG) of the Central Unit of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), has been reappointed as ADG of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police. Khan’s central deputation, which began last year, was curtailed following a request from the state government.

Amit Lodha, a 1998-batch IPS officer serving as IG of the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), has been promoted to ADG and will continue heading SCRB with an upgraded post.

Following these transfers, Director General (DG) Jitendra Singh Gangwar, who was holding the additional charge of Commissioner of Civil Security, Bihar, and ADG Special Branch Sunil Kumar, will be relieved of their additional responsibilities related to the EOU.
