Torch Procession Held in Patna in Support of Bihar Bandh Over BPSC Exam Irregularities

Patna: A torch procession was organized by Chhatra Yuva Shakti on the eve of the Bihar Bandh scheduled for January 12, called in protest against alleged irregularities in the BPSC 70th Preliminary Exam. The march, which began at Income Tax Golambar, was stopped by district administration officials near Kotwali police station.

Participants appealed to residents to support the bandh, urging collective action against what they described as an anti-youth and anti-employment government. Addressing the gathering, Chhatra Yuva Shakti leader Premchand Singh criticized the state government, accusing it of shielding examination mafias and suppressing student voices with lathi charges. “The more the administration attacks students and youth, the stronger our movement will become,” Singh declared.

Rajesh Ranjan Pappu, another leader, reiterated the demand for the cancellation of the BPSC exam and the need for a re-examination. He called on students and youth across Bihar to ensure the success of the bandh by taking to the streets in protest.
