Training on Nutrition Gardens Conducted for Anganwadi Workers at KVK Sabour

Bhagalpur: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Sabour, organized a two-day training session on “Establishment of Nutrition Garden” for Anganwadi workers from Nathnagar block on Monday and Tuesday. The event was inaugurated by Dr. R.K. Sohane, Director Extension Education, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sah, Dean Agriculture of Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, and Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK, Sabour.

Dr. Sohane emphasized the importance of adopting a vegetable cycle year-round to ensure the availability of chemical-free natural vegetables for families. Dr. Sah highlighted the potential of Anganwadi workers in establishing nutrition gardens and serving as a crucial link between villagers.

Dr. Kumar described village workers as key contributors to the Nari Yojana and the establishment of nutrition gardens, commending their efforts. Dr. Mamta Kumari, a horticultural scientist, provided detailed guidance on year-round vegetable cultivation and the nutritional benefits of vegetables.
