Training Program on EPC Tender System Held by Road Construction Department

Patna: The Road Construction Department organized a one-day training program focused on the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender system. Senior engineers received comprehensive training on the basics and features of the EPC mode, project management, and execution methods. Experts provided detailed information on the quality and safety standards in road and bridge construction.
The program was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha. In his address, Sinha emphasized the efficiency and organization of the EPC mode, which ensures timely and cost-effective project completion. He urged engineers to maintain high-quality standards and to regularly monitor constructed roads and bridges. Guidelines for continuous monitoring have been issued at the departmental level, and Sinha expressed his confidence that all engineers would adhere to these instructions.
Additional Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit encouraged engineers to incorporate new technologies in their work and highlighted the department’s efforts to enhance the capacity of newly appointed engineers. He stressed the importance of young engineers gaining knowledge from their senior counterparts by visiting project sites. Secretary Sandeep Kumar explained the necessity of this training and motivated engineers to focus on capacity building.
National-level engineers, including N.K. Sinha, A.K. Srivastava, H.C. Arora, and Mahavir Singh, conducted the training sessions. The program also saw the participation of Chief Engineer Indu Shekhar Roy, Sunil Kumar Sinha, other chief engineers, superintending engineers, executive engineers, and senior officials like Praveen Chandra Gupta, Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Brajsen, and Arun Kumar. The training aimed to equip engineers with the necessary skills and knowledge for effective project execution under the EPC tender system.
