Truck Hits Tejashwi Yadav’s Convoy, Misses Him by Barely Five Feet

Tejashwi Yadav Accuses Modi Government of Targeting Poor in Bihar Amid Voter List Row

Hajipur: A major accident was narrowly averted late last night when an out-of-control truck rammed into a vehicle in the convoy of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav near the Godhiya bridge on NH-22 under the Goraul police station limits.

The collision resulted in injuries to three individuals—security personnel Ramnath Yadav, Lalan Kumar, and driver Dharamveer Kumar—who were part of Tejashwi Yadav’s escort team. Acting swiftly, Tejashwi himself rushed the injured to Sadar Hospital in his convoy vehicle for immediate medical attention.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Shyamnandan Prasad confirmed the treatment of the injured at the hospital and stated, “The Leader of Opposition himself brought the injured to the hospital. They are out of danger and are being monitored.”

According to police sources, the truck responsible for the incident was seized near the Patedha toll plaza, and the driver has been taken into custody. Authorities are conducting further investigation into the cause of the accident.

Speaking to the media from the hospital, Tejashwi Yadav recounted the incident. “We had gone to Madhepura for a program and were returning to Patna. Our convoy had stopped for tea when suddenly a truck lost control and hit two-three vehicles just five feet away from me. It could have been a serious tragedy,” he said.

He downplayed any concerns about lapses in his security but stressed the need for accountability. “Accidents happen every day on Indian roads. But those whose negligence caused this accident must face action,” he added.

Police are continuing with necessary legal procedures and questioning the truck driver involved in the accident. Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
