Union Min Manjhi Advocates for Boosting Small Industries to Drive Inclusive Growth
Patna: Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi stressed the importance of prioritizing the promotion of small industries to boost employment and ensure inclusive development across rural and urban areas. His remarks came during a visit to Patna on Saturday, where he underscored the significance of empowering small-scale industries to strengthen the country’s economy, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
During his visit, Manjhi toured the KVIC State Office and MDTC in Patna, engaging with regular and current trainees, PM Vishwakarma trainees, and beneficiaries of PMEGP and GVY programs. He highlighted the substantial potential in the small-scale industry sector and called for transparent contributions from all stakeholders. Additionally, he urged Khadi and village industry officials to expedite their efforts.
Manjhi also reviewed ongoing activities and initiatives by KVIC, MDTC, PM Vishwakarma, and other enterprises in Bihar, meeting with trainees and beneficiaries to distribute certificates. The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the government’s initiatives and conveyed their happiness with the support received.
In discussions with the Department of Small Scale Industries, Manjhi addressed the state of micro and small industries in Bihar. He also took part in a tree-planting ceremony on the local office premises, symbolizing a commitment to sustainable development alongside economic growth.
