VIP Supremo Mukesh Sahani’s Father Murdered in Bihar

Darbhanga : Jitan Sahani, the father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) supremo Mukesh Sahani, was found murdered in his house in Darbhanga on Tuesday morning. His mutilated body, attacked with a sharp weapon, was discovered with household items scattered around. Police suspect he was killed while resisting a theft, and an SIT has been formed under the leadership of SP Rural to investigate the case.
The incident occurred in Jirat village, Ghanshyampur police station area of Darbhanga district. Jitan Sahani lived alone in the house. His two sons, Mukesh Sahani and Santosh Sahani, and a daughter who resides in Mumbai, survive him. Upon hearing the news, Mukesh Sahani, who has been the former Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister of Bihar, left for Darbhanga from Mumbai.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan expressed his grief over the murder, calling it a tragic loss. Police reiterated that the murder was likely due to Jitan Sahani resisting theft, as thieves had entered his house.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh condemned the act and assured that the accused would not be released. This incident has shocked the community, prompting a swift response from law enforcement and political leaders alike.
Mukesh Sahani, a prominent political figure, had recently addressed several public meetings with former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav during the Lok Sabha elections. His party, VIP, is part of the Mahagathbandhan alliance. The investigation continues as the family and the political fraternity mourn this loss.
