Weather Alert: Light Rain Expected in Bihar from April 11 to 13, Patna Remains Dry

Patna: The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Bihar, including the capital city of Patna, forecasting light rain, thunder, and wind speeds of 30 to 40 km per hour in select districts on April 11. While the rest of Bihar, including Patna, will experience dry and clear weather today, changes are expected in the coming days.

From April 11 to 13, rain is anticipated in several districts across the state. On April 11, one or two places in districts such as Patna, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Begusarai, and others are likely to witness a change in weather, accompanied by light rain. Similarly, on April 12 and 13, sporadic rainfall is forecasted in different regions of Bihar.

Tuesday saw Sheikhpura district recording the highest maximum temperature at 41 degrees Celsius, marking it as the hottest location in the state. Aurangabad, Gaya, Patna, Jamui, Khagaria, and Banka also experienced high temperatures, ranging from 38 to 40.6 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department attributes the rising temperatures to the persistent cyclonic circulation over Assam, coupled with westerly and easterly winds. Over the next five days, a further increase of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius is expected. Additionally, a western disturbance is slated to enter North-West India on April 12, influencing the weather conditions in the region.
