IMD Patna weather fog

Patna: The weather across Bihar is expected to remain normal today, with no fog alert issued for any district. However, a slight increase in cold is anticipated from February 6, as the minimum temperature is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

According to meteorologist SK Patel, a new western disturbance has entered the mountainous regions of North India, bringing snowfall to higher altitudes and rainfall to the plains. The impact of this system will be felt in Bihar as well, as it moves forward after February 6. Strong winds are expected in the morning and evening, leading to a further dip in temperature and an increase in cold conditions.

The cold season has also worsened air pollution levels in Bihar. On Tuesday, Hajipur recorded the worst air quality index (AQI) at 271, indicating poor air quality. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, especially those with respiratory issues.

Sunny Day Ahead for Patna

Patna’s weather is expected to remain clear today, with mild fog in the morning followed by sunny conditions throughout the day. The wind speed will be low, ensuring no significant drop in temperatures during the daytime.
