World Disability Day: Employment and Public Information Camp Organized in Patna

Patna: On the occasion of World Disability Day, a Public Information Camp cum Employment Camp was organized by the Special Employment Office for the Disabled, Patna. The event saw the participation of 55 disabled candidates and was conducted by Priyanka Verma, Assistant Director Planning, Special Employment Office for the Disabled.
The program featured several prominent officials, including Shyam Prakash Shukla, Deputy Director Planning, Patna Division, VK Pandey, Assistant Director Disabled Rehabilitation Center Patna, Noor Ahsan, and Ankit Raj, Assistant Director Planning Sub Regional Employment Office, Patna. During the program, Shukla presented detailed information on the welfare schemes offered by the Government of Bihar, provisions of the Equal Opportunity Act, and facilities available for disabled individuals through a power point presentation.
VK Pandey provided further guidance to the disabled participants, elaborating on the support available from the Disabled Rehabilitation Center. The event also included a placement camp where six candidates were successfully selected for the post of Trainee by Youth for Job.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about available resources and opportunities while facilitating employment for the disabled community in Bihar. The event highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering disabled individuals and ensuring their inclusion in society.
