Youth Stabbed Friends Over Party Dispute, One Dead, One Critical

Patna: A youth in Panchsheel Nagar, Danapur, allegedly attacked his two friends with a knife after they refused to take him to a birthday party, resulting in one death and another critically injured. The incident occurred late Thursday night.

The accused, Rohit Kumar, later turned himself in at the police station, claiming that he was attacked by his friends. The deceased, Golu Kumar, and the injured, Prem Kumar, both hail from Gajadhar Chak.

According to police, Rohit, Golu, Prem, and another friend were on their way to a birthday party on two motorbikes when an argument broke out near Nasriganj. Golu and Prem then switched to an e-rickshaw. Rohit, along with another accomplice, attacked them with a knife upon reaching Panchsheel Nagar. After the assault, Rohit went directly to the police to file a complaint against his friends.

Both victims were rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), where Golu succumbed to his injuries on Friday. Prem remains in critical condition.

Station House Officer (SHO) PK Bhardwaj stated that the altercation occurred during a birthday party in Gosain Tola. Rohit Kumar has been arrested, and police are conducting raids to apprehend the second suspect.
