Patna: Fifteen departments of the Bihar government will showcase tableaux at Gandhi Maidan, Patna, during the Republic Day celebrations on January 26. The tableaux will highlight various government initiatives, including drug-free Bihar, women empowerment, and advancements in animal husbandry, agriculture, and tourism.
The tableaux will feature themes such as “Drug Free Bihar Happy Family” (Liquor Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department), “Pink Toilet” (Urban Development and Housing Department), “Rising Investments, Rising Employment” (Department of Industry), and “Veterinary Medicine Just a Call Away” (Department of Animal and Fisheries Resources).
The Education Department will showcase the theme “Quality education should be a reality, Bihar should keep moving ahead,” while the Health Department will highlight the digitization of health services under the Chief Minister Digital Health Scheme and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
A three-member committee, headed by the Deputy Development Commissioner, Patna, is overseeing the preparations for the tableau presentations. Rehearsals for the tableaux are scheduled for January 24.
Strict guidelines have been implemented, including age restrictions for participating artists and mandatory anti-sabotage checks. The tableaux will be displayed within a 15-foot height limit.
