350 Teachers Trained for Mashal 2024 Sports Talent Search
Patna: Under the Bihar Sports Talent Search Competition, Mashal 2024, a training session was held on Friday for around 350 physical education teachers, physical education-cum-health instructors, and computer teachers from Fatuha, Daniyawan, Khushrupur, Masaurhi, and Dhanarua blocks of Patna district. The program was organized by the joint efforts of the Education Department, Sports Department, and Bihar State Sports Authority.
The training took place in the seminar hall of the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Rajendra Nagar, Patna. District Master Trainers explained the objectives and implementation of the Mashal program. Participants received technical information on the processes involved in the sports talent search campaign, including the battery test and sports such as athletics, cycling, kabaddi, football, and volleyball, which will be conducted at various levels – school, block, district, and state.
Om Prakash, District Sports Officer, Patna, and Kumkum Pathak, District Program Officer, encouraged the participants during the session. The training program’s coordinator, Shashi Ranjan, stated that the next batch of teachers from Patna Sadar Urban, Patna Sadar Rural, Danapur, and Maner blocks will receive training on Saturday as part of a six-day initiative.
