Thousands Gather in Chhapra for the Fourth Mega Public Dialogue of Let’s Inspire Bihar Campaign
Chhapra: In a remarkable display of unity and ambition, 30,000 to 35,000 people assembled at Rajendra Stadium in Chhapra for the fourth mega public dialogue of the Let’s Inspire Bihar campaign. The event, aimed at advancing the cause of Bihar’s development by 2047, saw attendees from across the region come together to pledge their commitment to a brighter future for the state.
The chief guest of the event, IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav, delivered an impassioned speech calling for the state’s development to transcend caste and communal divides. Vaibhav emphasized the critical importance of education, equality, and entrepreneurship as pillars for a prosperous future for Bihar. His words resonated deeply with the crowd, as he urged the people to come together for a unified vision of progress.
Rising Above Divisions for Bihar’s Progress
Vikas Vaibhav, addressing the packed stadium amidst thunderous applause, reiterated that Bihar belongs not only to those who seek to divide it along caste or religious lines but also to those committed to its unity and development. Reflecting on the overwhelming response from events in cities like Sasaram, Ara, and Begusarai, Vaibhav remarked that the widespread support for the campaign signified a growing desire for positive change across the state.
Despite his deep ties to Begusarai, where he was born, and Rohtas, his place of work, Vaibhav expressed his surprise at the reach of the campaign, particularly in Chhapra, a city he had not previously worked in. He noted that the message of Let’s Inspire Bihar had already reached every corner of the state, signaling a hopeful future. The IPS officer also highlighted the importance of ancient Bihari philosophy, particularly Vedanta, in shaping the state’s future. He stressed that the future of Bihar hinges on robust education, equality, and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship.
A Call to Action for Nation Building
Vaibhav, who has been a staunch advocate for Bihar’s development, shared a personal anecdote from 1993, when, as a young student in Bhopal, he was taunted with the word ‘Bihari’. That experience, he revealed, motivated him to restore the respect and dignity to the term. “The word ‘Bihari’ will be meaningful in my life only when it is associated with pride and development,” he said, encouraging everyone to contribute to Bihar’s development while fulfilling their duties.
He reinforced that nation building is not just a moral responsibility but a constitutional one, urging every individual to play their part in shaping Bihar’s future. Using examples from Bagaha and Rohtas, where communities embraced the wisdom of their ancestors, Vaibhav argued that true development is driven by entrepreneurship. He called for the creation of a robust system to support startups in Bihar, highlighting that thousands of successful ventures would fuel the state’s transformation.
Entrepreneurship as the Key to Bihar’s Growth
The dialogue also featured numerous notable figures, including Sachchidanand Rai, a Legislative Council member, who echoed Vaibhav’s views on the critical role of entrepreneurship in Bihar’s development. Rai emphasized that unlike traditional jobs, which only benefit the individual, entrepreneurship creates opportunities for thousands of others, providing employment and fostering innovation. He expressed his support for the campaign and proposed creating a help desk in Patna to assist entrepreneurs in their ventures.
The event was also attended by a host of dignitaries, including Syed Shamayal Ahmed, National President of the Private Schools and Children Welfare Association, Princess Aadya Shahi of the Hathua royal family, Dr. CN Gupta, MLA of Chhapra, Parmendra Kumar Vajpayee, Vice Chancellor of JP University, and Laxmi Narayan Gupta, Mayor of Chhapra, among others.
JP University Vice Chancellor, Parmendra Kumar Vajpayee, reinforced that Bihar’s development is inseparable from the broader development of India. “Until Bihar develops, the country’s progress remains incomplete,” Vajpayee said, adding that a collective effort is essential for realizing the state’s potential.
A Vision for a Transformed Bihar
As the event drew to a close, participants, including thousands of youth, raised their voices in unison, chanting, “I will change Bihar! I will revive the land of my ancestors!” The rallying cry was a powerful reminder of the shared commitment to creating a brighter future for Bihar.
With figures like Vaibhav leading the charge, the Let’s Inspire Bihar campaign continues to gain momentum, uniting people from all walks of life in a collective pursuit of progress and prosperity. The dialogue reinforced the message that the development of Bihar is not just a government responsibility but the shared duty of every individual.
