Patna DM Reviews Progress of Developmental and Welfare Schemes
Patna: District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh held a review meeting at the Collectorate to assess the progress of various planning and development programs. Key schemes under review included civil construction in schools, the Chief Minister Sports Development Scheme, MP Local Area Development Scheme, Bihar Mahadalit Vikas Mission, panchayat building construction, cemetery fencing, and temple boundary wall construction. The District Magistrate directed Local Area Engineering Organization (LAEO) Divisions 1 and 2 to ensure timely and quality execution of these schemes.
Deputy Development Commissioner, Patna, was instructed to regularly monitor the projects and address challenges promptly. The DM emphasized that incomplete schemes should be completed within the stipulated time, and issues hindering progress must be resolved swiftly by Sub-Divisional Officers and Sub-Divisional Police Officers. Coordination among departments, including District Welfare, Panchayat Raj, and Minority Welfare, was highlighted as critical for smooth implementation.
The DM reiterated that the successful implementation of development and welfare schemes is the government’s top priority, emphasizing that there should be no compromise on quality. Officials were urged to remain committed and proactive in their roles to ensure efficiency.
The District Planning Officer was tasked with providing detailed updates on incomplete schemes, while the Deputy Development Commissioner was instructed to expedite progress through regular monitoring. Land availability issues were to be addressed in coordination with circle officers. The DM urged executive engineers to stay vigilant and active in ensuring timely and effective execution of all projects.
