Patna : The Sanjha Utsav, organized by the Patna Municipal Corporation, came to a festive close on New Year’s Eve, offering Patnaites a memorable evening filled with vibrant shopping, delicious food, and the warmth of a bonfire. Held along the banks of the Ganga, the event was a beautiful blend of culture, community, and creativity, offering a unique celebration of local artisans and street vendors.
The event saw an impressive sale of ₹10 lakh, showcasing the talents of local artisans and vendors.
The festival, which began on December 26, saw participation from around 70 stalls, including women from self-help groups and local street vendors. Over the course of five days, the fair achieved impressive sales, with products worth ₹10 lakh sold. The items on display ranged from handmade crafts to local delicacies, creating a perfect blend of shopping and enjoyment for the visitors.
Among the many attractions, the exhibition of goods made by self-help groups was particularly noteworthy. Visitors were drawn to an array of products including bags, footwear, jewelry, large papads, laththi, toys, sarees, kurtis, woolen clothes, rugs, sheets, Ayurvedic oils, spices, hangings, and wreaths. The vibrant display highlighted the creativity and craftsmanship of local women, offering a unique shopping experience.
Adding to the charm, the event also featured a wide selection of mouthwatering food. Traditional dishes such as dhokla, idli, chooda, dahi bade, malpua, and rabri attracted food lovers, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
The evening was made even more magical by the inclusion of selfie points and a bonfire, which became key attractions. The Patna Municipal Corporation ensured that these spots were set up at various locations throughout the fairground, allowing visitors to capture the moment and enjoy the warmth of the fire as the chilly evening air set in.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Deputy Municipal Commissioner and officials from the Patna Smart City project, who were present to commend the success of the event and honor the participants with certificates.
Sanjha Utsav, which celebrated the spirit of community, creativity, and commerce, proved to be an enriching experience for the residents of Patna, marking a joyous end to the year and setting a positive tone for the coming one.
