Patna: The Bihar government has launched a dedicated radio service, Bihar Krishi Radio, aimed at empowering farmers with vital information on agriculture, weather updates, and government schemes. The service also features stories of successful farmers, women’s roles in agriculture, and nutrition-related programs. Broadcasts run daily from 10am to 4:15pm.

Diverse Programming for Farmers

Bihar Krishi Radio offers a variety of content tailored to farmers’ needs. Alongside weather and agricultural updates, the service includes programs on horticulture, expert advice, and agricultural innovations. In the evenings, from 5pm to 5:30pm, the station airs traditional farming folk songs and entertainment programs. Repeat broadcasts of earlier segments follow at different times.

The initiative emphasizes direct communication with farmers through interactive sessions. After each program, listeners can enjoy catchy radio jingles.
