Bagaha: A grand celebration unfolded at Triveni Sangam, located on the India-Nepal border near Bagaha, as thousands of devotees congregated for the 138th Narayani Gandaki Mahaarati. Held on the auspicious occasion of Paush Purnima, the event drew worshippers from both nations to the historic Kamleshwar Dham, united in their prayers for global peace.
A Sacred Confluence
Triveni Sangam, often likened to Prayagraj’s confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, is the meeting point of the Tamrabhadra, Sonbhadra, and Narayani rivers. On this significant day, devotees arrived in large numbers to participate in rituals that included a holy dip in the confluence. It is believed that such a bath purifies the soul and brings blessings.
Following the traditional cleansing, devotees lit thousands of lamps and performed aarti for Ganga Maiyya and Narayani Maiyya. The air resonated with chants of “Ganga Maiyya ki Jai” and “Paush Purnima ki Jai,” creating a spiritual ambience that left a profound impact on participants.
