ACAD 2025 Launched at Delhi Public School Patna, Attracting Thousands of Students Nationwide

Patna: The much-anticipated ACAD 2025 contest officially launched at Delhi Public School (DPS) Patna on Tuesday, kicking off a year-long celebration of cryptic crosswords. The initiative has already sparked nationwide enthusiasm, with thousands of students registering to participate in this intellectually stimulating competition, designed to enhance cognitive abilities and linguistic skills through daily challenges.

The launch event was inaugurated by Raveendra Sankaran, IPS, Director General, Bihar State Sports Authority, and Vivek Singh, IAS, Chief Mentor of Extra-C, with Divya Shakti, IAS, SDM Danapur, attending as the Guest of Honour. Students, faculty members, and crossword enthusiasts participated actively, while DPS Patna Principal B. Vinod Rai and Chetna Jha, Head – Student & Teacher Life, extended their support to the initiative.

In his keynote address, Raveendra Sankaran urged students to set ambitious goals, delivering an inspiring message: “Aspire to be somebody and not anybody.” He encouraged them to embrace individuality and strive for excellence in all their pursuits.

Vivek Singh introduced the JMS Principle for Success, a framework for personal and intellectual growth based on Jigyasa (Curiosity), Mehnat (Hard Work), and Sanskar (Life Values). He highlighted how these principles are not only relevant to crossword-solving but also to broader life challenges, inspiring students to approach learning with determination and integrity.

Guest of Honour Divya Shakti praised the initiative, emphasizing its role in developing analytical and creative thinking. She encouraged students to engage enthusiastically, making the most of this unique opportunity to sharpen their problem-solving skills.

A Clue A Day (ACAD) is a flagship initiative by Extra-C, offering a daily cryptic crossword challenge to promote logical thinking and language skills. A new cryptic clue is posted every day at 3:30 PM on www.crypticsingh.com, with solutions accepted until 3 PM the following day. Top performers at the national, state, and city levels receive monthly recognition with certificates and prizes.
