Citizens Take Pledge to Keep the City Clean, Action Against Litterers
Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation has launched a cleanliness awareness campaign across all 75 wards. As part of this initiative, sanitation workers are spreading the message of cleanliness by cutting cakes at recently cleared Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs).
Citizens are taking a pledge not to litter and to prevent others from doing so. The municipal corporation is actively engaging residents in this campaign, ensuring they commit to keeping the city clean.
Strict action is being taken against those who pollute public spaces. People and organizations found dumping garbage in the open are being identified and blacklisted. The municipal corporation has already registered 760 names in the blacklist, and they will face financial penalties.
Awareness programs are being conducted daily at 19 locations, involving ward councilors, sanitation workers, and the general public. The campaign is being organized across various sectors, including Nutan Rajdhani (wards 3, 11, 15, 19), Patliputra (1, 22A, 7, 24), Bankipur (36, 41, 42), Kankarbagh (29, 32, 44), Azimabad (52, 56, 59), and Patna City (62, 69).
This campaign will continue until February 18, focusing on both encouraging cleanliness and identifying those who violate sanitation norms.
