Patna: Jan Suraj leader and political strategist Prashant Kishor has made a major announcement aimed at the upliftment of Dalit society, promising land, financial support, scholarships, and political representation.

Addressing the Jan Suraj Ambedkar Samvad workshop at Bihar Satyagraha Ashram, Kishor outlined five key commitments that will be fulfilled if Jan Suraj comes to power.

Highlighting the educational challenges faced by Dalit students, he announced that those who pass Class 10 with over 50% marks will receive a ₹2,000 monthly scholarship for further studies. Additionally, existing Ambedkar hostels will be renovated to improve accommodation facilities for Dalit students.

Kishor also focused on land ownership, stating that a special campaign will be launched to provide 3 decimal land to 100% landless Dalit families within three years. To promote agricultural participation, Dalit farmers will be allotted government land on lease. Furthermore, young Dalits aspiring to start businesses will receive financial assistance with government-backed capital support.

For greater political inclusion, Kishor pledged that Dalit candidates would be given tickets to contest elections even in unreserved constituencies where the community has a significant presence.

These promises, Kishor emphasized, are essential to ensuring equal opportunities and empowerment for Dalits in Bihar.
