Patna: Leaders of Bihar’s Grand Alliance will gather in Patna on June 12 for the coalition’s fourth formal meeting, as opposition parties seek to consolidate their strategy ahead of upcoming electoral challenges. The meeting will be chaired by Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and will bring together senior leaders from all constituent parties of the All India Alliance.
In addition to members of the Coordination Committee, representatives of all sub-committees will also participate. The series of meetings is part of an ongoing effort to sharpen organisational coordination and grassroots mobilisation across the state.
This will be the fourth such meeting since April. The inaugural session was held at the RJD office on April 17, followed by a meeting at the State Congress headquarters on April 24. On May 4, leaders from the district to the state level convened in Digha.
At the first meeting, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav was elected chair of the Coordination Committee, tasked with leading the alliance. Responding to speculation around leadership, Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru had earlier clarified that there was no confusion regarding the chief ministerial face.
The second meeting saw the formation of a 21-member Coordination Committee, with deliberate attention paid to ensuring broad social representation within its composition.
Among those representing RJD on the committee are Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, Sanjay Yadav, Alok Mehta and Ranvijay Sahu. The Congress contingent includes Rajesh Ram, Krishna Allavaru, Shakeel Ahmed Khan and Dr Madan Mohan Jha. Left parties are represented by Kunal, Dhirendra Jha and Rajaram Singh from CPI(ML); Lalan Chaudhary, Ajay Kumar and Awadhesh Kumar from CPM; and Ramnaresh Pandey, Rambabu Kumar and Ajay Kumar Singh from CPI. Mukesh Sahni, Balgovind Bind and Pappu Chauhan represent the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP).
