Patna: The Bihar government has announced a major administrative reshuffle, reassigning several IAS officers to new roles in a bid to streamline governance and enhance efficiency across departments.
Ajay Yadav has been given additional charge as Director of Higher Education, while also serving as Managing Director of Bihar State Text Book Publishing Corporation Limited.
Dinesh Kumar (IAS 2007), currently the Divisional Commissioner of Bhagalpur, will now also hold the additional charge of Divisional Commissioner, Munger.
Animesh Kumar Parashar (IAS 2010), who has been serving as Chief Executive Officer-cum- Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, has been assigned additional responsibility as Managing Director of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (BUIDCO).
Udayan Mishra (IAS 2011), previously Director of Science, Technology and Technical Education, has been transferred as Special Secretary of the Tourism Department, Bihar, Patna. He will also hold the additional charge of Director of Tourism.
Shyam Bihari Meena (IAS 2014), former Director of Planning and Training, has been transferred as Director of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department.
Abhay Jha (IAS 2017), previously Managing Director of Bihar State Text Book Publishing Corporation Limited, Patna, has been transferred as Joint Secretary of the Rural Works Department.
Rajesh Kumar (IAS 2014) has been reassigned as Additional Secretary of the Department of Parliamentary Affairs, Bihar, Patna. Ahmed Mahmood (IAS 2014), who has been serving as Additional Secretary of the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education, will now also hold the additional charge of Director of Science, Technology and Technical Education.
Vijay Prakash Meena (IAS 2016), previously Director of Disability, has been transferred as Additional Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department.
Yogesh Kumar Sagar (IAS 2017), former Managing Director of BUIDCO, has been reassigned as Director of Disability in the Social Welfare Department. He will also hold the additional charge of Joint Secretary of the Social Welfare Department until further orders.
