Patna: A video allegedly showing RJD chief spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav flouting Bihar’s liquor ban has surfaced online, sparking controversy. The BJP’s Bihar unit shared the 42-second clip on its X account on Wednesday, accusing Yadav of violating prohibition laws.
The footage shows Yadav sitting on a sofa in casual attire, with filled glasses and food items placed on a table in front of him. Several individuals are seen around him in the video.

Initially, Yadav refrained from commenting on the allegations but later dismissed the video as an invasion of privacy, stating, “This is a violation of my privacy, so I will not react to it at the moment.”
A prominent leader in the RJD, Yadav first contested the Hilsa assembly seat in 2015 and won. However, he lost the constituency in the 2020 elections and was later appointed the party’s chief spokesperson.
The incident has intensified political tensions in Bihar, where prohibition remains a contentious issue.
