Mukesh Sahni Claims Grand Alliance Will Win Bihar, Declares Himself Deputy CM Candidate

Mukesh Sahni Claims Grand Alliance Will Win Bihar

Patna: With the Bihar assembly elections around eight months away, political parties have begun strategising for the upcoming battle. In a bold statement, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni asserted that the Grand Alliance is certain to form the government in 2025 and declared himself as the next deputy chief minister.

Addressing supporters at the Nishad Reservation Sankalp Yatra in Masaurhi, Patna, on Wednesday night, Sahni said, “The Mahagathbandhan government is sure to be formed in Bihar in 2025. This time, our government will come to power, and I will become the deputy CM. After that, all your problems will be resolved.”

Sahni also launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of marginalising Dalits and backward communities. “The BJP has always deprived Dalits and backward classes of their rights. It works against them. This election will show the power of the Mallah community. Together, we will form the government under the Grand Alliance,” he said.

His statement has intensified political discussions, particularly regarding seat-sharing negotiations within the Grand Alliance. By positioning himself as a deputy CM contender, Sahni has indirectly staked a major claim ahead of alliance talks.

Reacting to his remarks, Congress spokesperson Gyan Ranjan said, “People from every community have expectations from the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. They know that only the Grand Alliance can provide them with basic facilities.”
