Land-for-Jobs Case: Delhi Court Postpones Hearing to February 21

New Delhi/ Patna: The hearing in the land-for-jobs case, scheduled for Monday at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, has been postponed once again. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sought additional time to file a clarification, which the court has granted. The next hearing is now set for February 21.
In the previous hearing, the court had permitted the prosecution of two officials, including former IAS officer RK Mahajan, who served in the Railway Board during RJD supremo Lalu Prasad’s tenure as railway minister.
The case has faced multiple delays. On January 16, the hearing was postponed after the court declined to allow proceedings against a railway official. However, on January 30, the court granted the CBI permission to prosecute two officials. The latest postponement on February 19 came as the agency requested more time for its clarification.
