Saran SP Withholds Salaries of 11 Officers Over Negligence in Case Filing

Bihar Police

Chhapra: In a significant move, 11 police officers from Saran district have faced action for negligence in their duties. The disciplinary measures were taken after a review conducted by Superintendent of Police (SP), Dr. Kumar Ashish, during a crime meeting held on February 15.

The review of the Prosecution Branch’s work revealed that several police officers, including Zonal Police Inspectors and Supervisory Officers, had failed to submit charge sheets or final reports to the court for cases executed in the months of September, October, November, and December 2024. These omissions violated previous directives issued by the SP, who had repeatedly instructed the officers to submit the necessary documents to the court.

As a result, the SP has taken strict action by withholding the salaries of the officers involved in the negligence. Affected officers include:

  • Sanjeev Kumar, City Police Station in-charge
  • Kripa Sagar, Supervisory Officer of Mufassil Police Station
  • Subhash Kumar, Bhagwan Bazaar Police Station in-charge
  • Kiran Shankar, Anchal Police Inspector of Sadar Zone
  • Virendra Kumar Singh, Anchal Police Inspector of Ekam Zone
  • Ashok Kumar, Anchal Police Inspector of Mufassil Zone
  • Rakesh Kumar Singh, Anchal Police Inspector of Mathura Zone
  • Ashok Kumar Singh, Anchal Police Inspector of Mashrakh Zone
  • Indrajit Kumar, Anchal Police Inspector of Sonpur Zone
  • Ujjwal Kumar, Supervisory Officer of Sonpur Police Station
  • Vipin Kumar, Supervisory Officer of Madhaura Police Station

These officers were found negligent in their duties, and their failure to comply with the orders led to the withholding of their salaries.
