Patna: Mauryalok Complex in Patna is set to become a vibrant nightlife zone, with food, drinks, and entertainment available throughout the night. The area will retain an evening-like atmosphere even during late hours, with a major redevelopment plan covering the stretch from Dakbungalow crossing to the ISKCON temple.
As part of the project, the road adjacent to Patna Museum will be developed into a new food and vending hub named Happy Street. Additionally, the area near the Buddha Marg slum will be designated for street vendors, allowing them to set up food stalls.
Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar confirmed that a comprehensive plan has been prepared, and work will begin soon. The initiative includes the construction of a multi-level car parking facility to prevent roadside parking. Dedicated bike parking has already been arranged within the Mauryalok Complex. The entire stretch from Dakbungalow to the ISKCON temple, along with roads near Hariniwas and Kaushalya Estate, will be part of the city’s new nightlife zone.
A senior official from the Municipal Corporation said the plan draws inspiration from Indore’s Sarafa market, where persistent thefts led to its transformation into a 24-hour food and entertainment hub. The concept has since been replicated in major cities, creating bustling zones that remain active late into the night.
Patna’s Mauryalok Complex and surrounding areas are now set to follow suit, promising a lively, all-night destination for residents and visitors.
