Sasaram: Tourists visiting Rohtas will soon be able to experience hot air balloon rides, with a successful trial recently conducted at the Karamchat Eco Tourism and Adventure Hub in Chenari block. The project, part of Bihar’s tourism expansion, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during his Pragati Yatra.
The initiative, with a total budget of Rs 49.73 crore, also includes the development of a boat house camp at Badalgarh, costing Rs 2.71 crore.
According to Amit Singh, forest range officer and eco-tourism in charge, the hot air balloon will accommodate six passengers per trip, with a fare of Rs 500 per person. Only individuals aged 18 and above will be permitted to take the ride. Depending on weather conditions, operations will be scheduled from 6 am to 8 am and from 5 pm onwards.
