Bihar Weather Update: Light Rain Forecast in Some Districts as Temperatures Rise

Patna: The weather in Bihar is undergoing gradual changes, with rising temperatures and occasional light rain expected in some parts of the state. According to the Patna Meteorological Center, no significant change in maximum and minimum temperatures is anticipated over the next 72 hours.

On Sunday, light rain is likely in isolated areas of Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, and Katihar in northeast Bihar. Similarly, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger, and Khagaria in southeast Bihar may experience light showers. This weather pattern is expected to persist for the next three days.

Temperature Trends Across Bihar

A cool breeze is likely in most districts during the morning, but as the sun rises, temperatures will increase, making the afternoons noticeably warm. In the last 24 hours, Samastipur recorded a maximum temperature of 29.3°C and a minimum of 12.6°C. Saharsa reported 28.5°C and 13.1°C, while Kishanganj saw 27°C and 13.5°C.

Other districts also saw rising temperatures, with Arwal recording a maximum of 30.6°C and a minimum of 15.4°C, Rohtas reaching 30.6°C and 15.7°C, and Munger experiencing 31.7°C and 16.1°C.

Muzaffarpur, in particular, has seen a noticeable temperature rise, with maximum temperatures reaching close to 30°C in late February. On Saturday, the district recorded a high of 29.8°C, with minimum temperatures also rising steadily. Residents have stopped using blankets at night, although early mornings remain slightly cool.

Forecast for the Coming Days

The weather is expected to fluctuate over the next three to four days, with intermittent cloud cover, dry conditions in some areas, and light rain in others. Maximum temperatures are predicted to range between 29°C and 31°C, while minimum temperatures may hover between 15°C and 19°C.

Easterly winds, blowing at an average speed of 2-3 km/h, will dominate during the forecast period before shifting to westerly winds later in the week.
