#WhyNoPMMitraParkInBihar Trends as PM Modi Visits Bhagalpur

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhagalpur on Monday to address a large public gathering and announce significant benefits for farmers. However, a hashtag, #WhyNoPMMitraParkInBihar, began trending on social media in the afternoon. The hashtag was used in over 3,000 posts and reflects views over Bihar’s exclusion from the government’s ambitious PM Mitra (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park scheme.
The PM Mitra scheme is intended to create large-scale textile hubs across India, providing a major boost to the sector and generating over one lakh jobs at each park. While the government has earmarked seven states for the initiative, Bihar has not been included.
Social media users are demanding that the state be granted a PM Mitra Park, citing Bihar’s historical connection to the textile industry and its potential for growth. Satya Ekanga Magahi, a social media user, expressed frustration, writing, “Bihar has always supported the NDA government. Now it’s time to return the favour. Both the central and state governments must work together to bring a PM Mitra Textile Park to Bihar.”
