Bihar Minister Flags Off Bike Rally for ‘Kalrav 2025’ to Promote Bird Conservation

Patna: Bihar’s Environment and Forest Minister, Dr. Prem Kumar, flagged off a bike rally from Aranya Bhawan, Patna, on Tuesday as part of the ‘Kalrav 2025’ State Bird Festival. The rally, heading to Nagi Bird Sanctuary in Jamui, aims to raise public awareness about bird conservation, biodiversity, and environmental protection.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Prem Kumar said the festival seeks to highlight Bihar’s rich biodiversity and the importance of preserving rare bird species. “It is our responsibility to conserve the diverse birdlife of Bihar. Such initiatives not only promote environmental awareness but also boost eco-tourism,” he said.
Senior forest department officials, including Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Prabhat Kumar Gupta, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Abhay Kumar Dwivedi, and Director of Ecology and Environment Abhay Kumar, were present. Wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists also participated.
‘Kalrav 2025,’ organized by Bihar’s Department of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, will take place on February 27-28 at Nagi Nakati Bird Sanctuary. The event brings together experts, researchers, and nature lovers to promote bird conservation and sustainable tourism.
