Muzaffarpur: A 19-member cultural delegation from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) is set to participate in the 38th National Youth Festival 2024-25 in Noida. The festival, organized by the Association of Indian Universities and hosted by Amity University, will feature participants from 148 universities across India.
Ahead of their departure, BRABU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai addressed the delegation, emphasizing the university’s commitment to the holistic development of students. He underscored the importance of cultural and sporting activities in education, describing them as essential to nurturing intellectual and physical potential.
“At BRABU, we believe that participation in cultural and athletic events is not just an extracurricular pursuit but a crucial part of education,” Rai said. “These opportunities allow students to refine their skills and showcase their talents on a national platform.”
Addressing performance anxiety, the vice chancellor encouraged students to remain composed and confident. “Your performance represents the university, but it should not be a source of stress. True artistry thrives in a calm and focused state,” he said.
The BRABU delegation, coordinated by Prof. Indudhar Jha, will leave for Noida on Saturday. Their performances will include a group dance inspired by Bhikhari Thakur’s Bidesiya, infused with the vibrancy of Holi, and a mimicry act by Rajneesh Kumar of LS College.
The send-off event was attended by Proctor Prof. BS Rai, Cultural Committee Member Prof. Rajneesh Kumar Gupta, and faculty members Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vishwakarma, Dr. Rosie Sulochana, Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Prof. Ramkumar, Dr. Shruti Mishra, Dr. Dilip Kumar, and Law Officer Dr. Satyaprakash Rai. The delegation will be accompanied by Dr. Payoli, Ajay Kumar, and Prof. Indudhar Jha.
