Bihar industry

Pune: Bihar, a land with a deep historical legacy and intellectual richness, is now emerging as a dynamic center for innovation and entrepreneurship. The Building Bridging Bihar Initiative, aimed at harnessing this potential, gained significant traction at an exclusive event held in Pune on February 21, bringing together over 125 startups, business leaders, and industry experts.

The event, which featured prominent figures from Kotak Mahindra Bank, the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), and key startup enablers, emphasized Bihar’s untapped entrepreneurial opportunities and the need to bridge tradition with modern business strategies.

Leveraging Bihar’s Strengths for a Thriving Startup Ecosystem

Professor (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director of Chandragupta Institute of Management, Patna (CIMP), highlighted Bihar’s historical strengths and how they can be transformed into modern business assets. “Bihar has always been a land of intellect and resilience. The challenge is not the talent—it’s ensuring the right ecosystem to nurture that talent,” he noted.

Kumod Kumar, President of TiE Patna, emphasized collaboration and digital transformation. “Entrepreneurs from Bihar are making their mark globally, but now is the time to bring that innovation back home. The state government is proactively supporting startups, and this initiative will create stronger networks for aspiring business leaders,” he stated.
