Muzaffarpur: Students from Langat Singh College are set to participate in the SBI College Youth Ideathon (CYI) 2025, a nationwide initiative designed to foster student entrepreneurship and innovation. Launched by Dr. Kiran Bedi at the Constitution Club of India on February 4, 2025, the challenge aims to engage over 100,000 students across the country.
Organized by IIT Delhi, the Management Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC) under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and the ThinkStartup Foundation, the CYI 2025 provides a national platform for students to develop and present innovative solutions to real-world problems.
Langat Singh College will host ideation workshops, offered in both online and offline formats, to equip students with the necessary skills for the competition. Principal Prof. Om Prakash Roy expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “This is a remarkable opportunity for our students to explore their entrepreneurial potential and gain invaluable experience. We are committed to providing our students with platforms that foster innovation and prepare them for the challenges of the future.”
Prof. Roy emphasized that the workshops will focus on ideation, validation, and pitching, providing students with direct mentorship from industry leaders and entrepreneurs. The top 200 teams will have the opportunity to showcase their startups at IIT Delhi in April 2025. The challenge offers substantial rewards, including cash prizes totaling Rs 25 lakh and potential funding and incubation opportunities worth over Rs 50 lakh.
“We encourage all our students to actively participate and make the most of this national-level competition,” Prof. Roy added.
Dr. Navin Kumar, from the Department of Electronics, highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. “This challenge is open to students from all disciplines, encouraging a diverse range of perspectives and ideas,” said Dr. Kumar. “We encourage students from different departments to form teams and collaborate, as this will lead to more comprehensive and impactful solutions.”
