Patna: To tackle Patna’s growing parking issues, high-tech hydraulic bike parking facilities will be developed at key locations under the Smart City scheme. The state-of-the-art parking structures will be installed at Boring Road, Mauryalok Complex, and Kadamkuan, allowing more vehicles to be accommodated efficiently within limited space.

The proposal was approved during a board meeting of Patna Smart City, and the tender is set to be issued on Thursday. Officials have set a target of nine months for the completion of the project. Earlier, hydraulic car parking facilities at Mauryalok and Buddha Marg received a positive response, encouraging the expansion of the system for two-wheelers.

In addition to the parking initiative, the board has also decided to install 12 large digital screens across the city to enhance information dissemination and urban aesthetics. Currently, 14 screens are in place, primarily used for traffic management and public announcements. The move is part of broader efforts under the Smart City Project to modernise and streamline urban infrastructure in Patna.
