Passengers Welcome Growing Connectivity
Darbhanga Airport, launched on November 8, 2020, under the UDAN scheme, has witnessed consistent growth in passenger demand. Initially, only one IndiGo flight operated daily on the Darbhanga-Hyderabad route. However, from Tuesday, SpiceJet also began servicing this route.
Air travel disruptions due to weather conditions in January had affected flight schedules, but since February, operations have steadily returned to normal. The increasing flight frequency has sparked joy among travelers, not only in the Mithila region but also in Nepal, as Darbhanga serves as a crucial gateway.
With the steady expansion of services, Darbhanga Airport is cementing its position as a key aviation hub in Bihar, offering greater connectivity and convenience to the region’s air travelers.
