Tej Pratap Yadav Sings, Dances, and Drenches in Colour for Holi

Patna : Holi celebrations in capital saw a vibrant display of colours, music, and tradition on Saturday, with people marking the festival in lively fashion across the city. Among the most notable celebrations was that of Tej Pratap Yadav, the son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who played Holi at his residence, singing traditional ‘Phaag’ songs and throwing coloured powder.

Across Patna, revellers engaged in the customary tearing of clothes, a practice popular in some areas during Holi. Streets in Rajendra Nagar, Kankarbagh, Harding Road, Bailey Road, and Danapur were filled with festive spirit, as torn garments were seen hanging from trees and electrical wires.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha also celebrated Holi, marking the occasion with his family at home. Meanwhile, police and administrative teams were deployed across the city, ensuring safety at major intersections and keeping a watchful eye on potential disturbances. No major incidents were reported, with senior officers patrolling sensitive areas to maintain order.

The usually bustling roads of Patna were quieter in the afternoon, with markets closed and minimal traffic movement. However, the festival continued in full swing, with people coming together to celebrate with music, dance, and colours, embodying the joyful spirit of Holi.
